What do you love about CrossFit? It's a style of training that can be done by anyone and can be catered for any level of fitness.
Favourite WOD or Movement? The Bar Muscle Up and Snatch.
Best thing about being a Coach? Seeing someone achieve something for the first time that they thought was out of their reach; first pull up, not stopping on a run, taking part in the CrossFit Open or getting on the podium at a CrossFit or Weightlifting comp. Then the coaches and community embracing that with them.
Best bit of advice for someone new or been part of CrossFit for a while? Be patient, be consistent and speak to the coaches. You really can achieve anything with this training - we've got so many stories to show you anything is possible!

How long have you been in CrossFit? 12 years
What do you love about CrossFit? CrossFit is character building, it forges resilience. It celebrates the beauty of being strong, fit, and authentic. CrossFit has challenged the concept of body image and shifted the focus towards athleticism, inclusivity, long-term health, and community support. These values are what's kept me in the sport so long. CrossFit encourages women to embrace their bodies as powerful instruments capable of achieving incredible feats. As a sport it continues to evolve, and at the affiliate level it is helping everyday people live healthier, longer, fitter and stronger lives.
Favourite WOD or Movement? Unpopular opinion: Don't mind a Thruster or two.
The classics: Fran, Diane and probably Helen.
Best thing about being a Coach? The community values individuals' efforts, regardless of their athletic ability, fitness level or body type. It promotes inclusivity by creating a supportive environment where athletes can build self-confidence and challenge themselves without judgment, work together, motivating and inspiring each other to achieve their personal fitness goals, have good laugh and hang out with mates.
Best bit of advice for someone new or been part of CrossFit for a while? CrossFit is a long-term journey, not a sprint. It's about showing up, putting in the effort, and embracing the process. Prioritise consistency in training and positive lifestyle habits, and trust that the results will come. Regardless of how long you've been in the sport, it's about showing up, staying humble, and enjoying the process. CrossFit will challenge you, but it will also reward you in ways you never expected, and there is always something to learn/ improve on. CrossFit is the pursuit of enduring performance both in and outside of the gym, with a focus on longevity, and a lifetime of well-being.

What do you love about CrossFit? Community, the variety of movements and structured programming.
Favourite WOD or Movement? Murph.
Best thing about being a Coach? Consistently good banter, working with like minded people and the coffee 😁
Best bit of advice for someone new or been part of CrossFit for a while? Goals, set yourself goals, whether that's certain movements you want to achieve, weight you want to lift, times to beat in a WOD or external challenges like a half marathon. It can often feel like you're not making progress but sometimes it's just hard to see that progress if you're continually bashing yourself week after week. Think about what you want out of CrossFit and if unsure, talk to a coach!

How long have you been in CrossFit? Since 2012
What do you love about CrossFit? Mix between the community spirit and the encouraging of fitness throughout life. I've always said I want to be able to pick up my kids for as long as they want to be picked up - so far so good.
Favourite WOD or Movement? Pretty much anything with Oly lifting - the heavier the better.
Best thing about being a Coach? The awesome coaching team and community that Craig and Annie have built.
Best bit of advice for someone new or been part of CrossFit for a while? In my Karate days I remember one of my instructors telling us don't practice till you get it "right", practice until you can't get it wrong. Sure hitting a movement cleanly when you're fresh or during technical sessions is a good start but don't ever let yourself fall into the trap of thinking you can neglect the basics. Also perhaps more importantly, have fun with it!
